NEO_SURREAL
NEO_SURREAL is an AI-driven digital art series that explores the intersection of memory, technology, and the hyper-stylized aesthetic of a futuristic dreamscape. Rooted in my experiences living in Japan right out of university, this body of work blends nostalgia with speculative fiction, creating an alternative reality shaped by the fluid boundaries between human creativity and machine intelligence.
PROCESS
I started off with a very simple Midjourney image, which was a combination of various style references. Eventually, I got tired of the Midjourney look and brought everything into ComfyUI, where I trained my own LORAs to create better images with FLUX.
I use this base image as the building block. Back in Comfy, I begin to upscale it, refine it, recompose it, Photoshop it, upscale it again, and color correct it. My background as an art director, photo editor, and designer has definitely come in handy when enhancing AI imagery.
